What is Animal Massage?

The act of touch is essential to all living creatures. It soothes and comforts, creates trust and enriches the bonding relationship - human and animal alike. Through massage, the effects of touch are brought to a deeper and more effective level.

Massage is the manipulation of the muscles and soft tissues of the body.  This is done using the hands and applying various techniques and strokes with controlled pressure and intention.  It is gentle, non-invasive, helps to relieve pain and stress, and aids in restoring balance in the body.

Massage is an integral part of health care promotion & rehabilitation for our animal companions.
